Laya Taal Saadhna
Our flagship student recital. Laya Taal Saadhna started in 2005 and has been become a staple for music lovers in Houston and throughout Texas. during this grand occasion, students of all ages and skill levels come together to perform.
Supporting our semi-annual student recital are Aavishkar ghar bhaitaks held throughout each year. These intimate house concerts feature 2-3 ensemble performances along with one featured item. Aavishkar is a platform for all students to get comfortable on stage in preparation for larger programs.
Children’s Museum of Houston
One of our favorite programs each year is held at the Children’s Museum of Houston. A running tradition for many years now, this is a great opportunity for our youngest students to perform for families and peers.
On May 15th, 2010 40 Tabla students performed during the Incredible India Show at the Miller Outdoor Theater in Houston, Tx. The students were supported by Guru Pt. Shantilal Shah along with vocalist Smt. Aparna Shah and Sri Mahendra Gohil on harmoniium.

Anuraag Shah performs at Guru Purnima
In 2010, Anuraag Shah, son and one of the senior students of Pt. Shantilal performed during Taalyogi Pandit Suresh Talwalkar ji’s Gurupurnima in Pune. Harmonium by Shri Chinmay Kolhatkar.
Arun Sabapathy performs at Guru Pranaam
In 2017, Arun exhibited his knowledge in different aspects of the Tabla imparted to him by his Guru. He ended the program with this solo in Drut (fast) Teentaal.
