Pandit Shantilal Shah Recognized for his Work
On November 30, Pune music lovers witnessed a unique event organized by Taalyogi ashram under the guidance of Taalyogi Pandit Suresh Talwalkar ji. Three senior students Ramdas ji Palsule, Rajprasad ji Dharmadhikari and our beloved Guruji Shantilal Shah were felicitated by Bade Guruji and Pt. Ulhas Kashalkar ji. The ceremony ended with a superb Tabla solo performance by Satyajit Talwalkar ji.
We think that it’s the first time that a Guru decided to honor his student by recognizing the students’ work in the field of music. The audience often became emotional as speeches were shared full of fond memories from the students’ time with their Guru.
