On February 17, 2018, the Indian Music Society of Houston and Students of Pandit Shantilal Shah present a unique and thrilling musical event featuring nearly 100 performers. Two exciting concerts showcase the versatility of the percussion instrument Tabla through solo and ensemble performances as well as its prominence in the accompaniment of Vocal and instrumental music, and Kathak dance!
On Saturday, July 22nd, Next Iteration Theater is presenting an Indian Classical Music Concert featuring a Tabla solo and Vocal performance. Guru Shri Shantilal Shah with son and disciple Anuraag Shah will start the program with a Tabla solo. Following this will be a Vocal performance by Smt. Aparna Shah. Accompanying both items on harmonium is Shri Mandar Phadke, an accomplished musician who has performed with many great Indian classical musicians. The show starts at 7:00 p.m. and at Match Theater, Houston. Tickets are available through Next Iteration Theater and are "pay what you can", with a suggested ticket price of $10. On March 19, Houston was fortunate to have one of the great vocalists of Hindustani Classical Music in town, the legendary Padma Shree Pandit Ulhas Kashalkar. Organized by the Indian Music Society of Houston the program was held in the intimate Jones Hall at the University of St. Thomas. He was accompanied by our Guruji, Pandit Shantilal Shah on Tabla.

Guruji accompanied violinist Pt. Milind Raikar along with son Yadnesh Raikar at a concert in Dallas, Texas. The event was organized by the Indian Classical Music Circle of Dallas/Fort Worth.
